New Culinary Workshop Series
We are so excited to present this new series of nature based education workshops…. the Autumn Harvest Series. You’ll get to work with two local nature enthusiasts who are passionate about their craft; Jen Schwenk, of Friends of the Woods Nature School, and Danny Pejsa; outdoorsman, forager and chef! Together with Jen and Danny, you will learn some important culinary skills that perhaps your parents and grandparents might have known, but are not as often practiced in today’s world: canning, preserving fruit (in various ways), and sourdough bread making. Are you excited?? Click the link to learn more or register for these amazing workshops. You can register for just one, or receive a discount for registering for the entire series.
The Workshops will be held on Saturday mornings from 10 am – 1 pm throughout the month of October at either our Sunflower Market, or the outdoor cooking lab. Register early because space is definitely limited. Hope to see you there!
Sip & Snip Thursdays
Come spend a beautiful evening at the farm. You’ll get to visit our garden spaces, and just relax and create with natures amazing bounty of summer flowers. Of course, we will have dahlias and zinnea, and many other fun “farm flowers and greens”, as well as some standards to work with, and we have everything you need to make a beautiful large bouquet to take home!
Our dahlia garden is blooming slowly this year, so there will be many beautiful flowers left into October. This is your last chance to get some friends or family together and spend a bit of this beautiful early autumn weather creating with us in the amazing outdoors! Click the link below to register for one of the two new sessions just added, or for more information about either our Thursday evening programs or our Private Sip & Snip Events.
If you love flowers, and just want to volunteer to help harvest and prepare for Sip & Snips on Thursdays, click the pink link below to signup to help on a particular Sip & Snip evening. And thank you… we do love our volunteers!! This
