Author, Jamie Ruthenburg
Sunflower Market!
Kids Corner
Meet Jamie!
I am a Detroit-born author and illustrator that has been living in Clarkston for over 20 years. I have a children's book series, The Miles Series, that I both write and illustrate. The series is all about the main character, Miles, a tenderhearted rabbit who treats others with kindness, love, and respect. All of the artwork is done with pencil and watercolor. There are four books so far in the series (that I personalize and sign with each purchase), along with a plush of Miles. There are also art prints available from the series, that are numbered and signed. I also have a YouTube series, Jamie's Book and a Bite, that references the series quite often.
Our own Sunflower Market is open 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday and features many of our outdoor market vendor products and other wonderfully crafted local goodness, as well as produce from the farm! Grown by the kids who play, grow and learn at camps, field trips, scouting, volunteering, birthdays, workshops at the Clarkston Family Farm!
At our outdoor farmers market we always have something for the kids at our Kids Corner! This area features a free rotating educational activity. See our FB page for this weeks awesome offering! Don't forget when you're here to say hi to the chickens!
